Is BlaCri only for Black Criminologists?

No. We are a professional organization dedicated to centering the development of Black Criminologists and professionals in adjacent fields. We center Black criminologists and their work. If you are a champion for the cause, we invite you to collaborate and join the network.

Can I become a member if I am not a Black Criminologist?

Yes. The organization is dedicated to building community for folks in the fields of criminology/criminal justice with a unique focus on the development of Black professionals. If you work in an adjacent field and believe the interests align, we welcome you to the network.

Can I attend the events if I am not a member?

Not usually. Events are for members of the organization. Registration and payment are taken behind the 'login' platform. There are community events that are open to the public and they will be noted as such.
